van den Bosch: 30 years of textile expertise

The "van den Bosch" store in Zwickau perfectly combines industrial tradition and a contemporary shopping experience. Between historic brick walls and select interiors, the 30-year-old young family business brings festive and business clothing to the man. Sales of suits, shirts and shoes are rounded out by on-site production of vests, bow ties and neckties. Almost exactly one year ago, the seven-strong team around owner Kerstin van den Bosch set to work and, with a lot of initiative and attention to detail, furnished the new premises on Pölbitzer Straße ready for occupancy. The time spent in the lockdown was used for this purpose. The result is just as stylish as the range of products offered by the complete men's outfitter. In the process, "van den Bosch" dresses customers in a way that is true to their type and authentic: starting with the large selection of fine silk fabrics from German and Italian weaving mills, through personal made-to-measure clothing, to alterations and customization of the customer's order. Not only a major customer of festive men's fashion from Lower Saxony orders regularly - also the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra and the Leipzig Thomaner Choir, among others, are pleased in specially made vests and accessories.

>With both classic and extravagant outfits, the complete outfitter attracts gentlemen from Saxony (and beyond) in style.

In the interplay of trade, own collections and contract production, the van den Bosch family mastered three decades of changing market conditions, private setbacks, insolvencies of long-standing suppliers. Among the most beautiful moments are those when customers feel happy and satisfied with their purchase. "That's touching: When a 2-meter heavyweight just wants to give you a hug," laughs the boss. After soon two years of pandemic, she wishes for the retail-gastro-event industry finally again "lightness and prospect of beautiful occasions." And hopes that with the new year also the planning security comes back. "We're not going to let it get us down. If the general conditions fit, we can present some new projects in 2022, which we are currently working on at full speed."
